Awesome Lofty Wiseman SAS Survival tin kit as in the famous SAS survival skills course

Lots of survival schools still teach basic outdoors survival on the last line protective contents of these pocket kits. Waterproof sealed with tape. Fits into your combat jacket pocket. What's in the tin is merely a place to begin. A starting point. You can readily add in and supplement other items for inclusion as wanted for individual customising. Familiarise yourself with all that's in the tin contents. You might only have just those maybe one day to stay alive with.

The bigger and better contents wise pocket tin survival kit.

I'm convinced these kits are a good start point, in any basic survival kit preparations. Kit is a start point only though and not a be all and end all. I came up through Army Infantry into this whole interest. And lots of military folks swear by them as their choice of last ditch personal survival line of defence. Kept in a top combat jacket pocket. Containing all of the basics of items necessary to survive outdoors in the wilds in Escape and Evasion situation. Many survival schools like Trueways and others still teach the old school survival tin kit way, to this day because it is a part of John Lofty Wiseman SAS Survival teaching method. This is a larger pocket tin kit than the older standard large tobacco tins usually are. This kit is based mainly for soldier/squaddies use. Including the water carrier condoms x2 within. These are standard unlubricated ones you're meant to place into a sock for support in carrying the water within. Lots of good basic bits in this very good tin kit. Carry too a lighter, Bic style, with tape electrical wrapped around it for fire lighting use, and you're off to a good basic start in fulfilling your last line of survival defence. Your pocket order kit. Always Belt and Braces approach to survival. Multiple lines of provision of fire outdoors especially. (First thing I had to do with this tin was open and settle the contents a little better, then re seal with the outer tin tape provided, for waterproofness. So tin sits better in the top combat jacket pocket of my smock.) In my opinion, having owned a lot of these BCB type tin kits, this one is likely one of the best. But of course you can tweak it as you like to suit yourself and own needs better. For instance adding more tinder cotton wool, matches etc or small pieces of cut up rubber car or bike inner tubing for fire starting in the extreme wet. Especially useful in the jungle.
