The old school style basic product improved FFD or military type First Field Dressing.

Goes in the combat jacket top pocket, or sleeve pocket. Old style Medic dressing, available in two different sizes. From BCB International of Cardiff. I habitually carry one with me when outdoors. Just in case I need to treat a wound and stop blood loss. Military battlefield dressings. Originally intended for battlefield trauma care of suffered bullet wounds. Outer wrap doubles as sterile chest wound cover for immediate triage care treatment of so termed sucking chest wounds. To seal the wound tight, aiding the casualty in their breathing. Soldiers on the battlefield carried each two of these. One for treatment covering of bullet entry wound, and one for likewise covering of the resultant gunshot exit wound made by a round striking one, passing straight through the flesh. These days there's better Israeli army ones. Better at helping wound blood clotting. These though will always emain useful in treating open wounds outdoors. Inexpensive items to source from BCB lines stockists. Or direct.

Product Improved Updated Version of British Forces First Field Dressing. FFD

Good to have for treating injury outdoors. Very good for stopping blood loss. I know there are more modern Israeli army type dressings available today, but these are cheaper and likely just as good in any basic medical emergency for wound treatment.

Really well packaged

I haven't opened it as I haven't needed to yet. However, I can tell its a professional bit of kit.
Ideal for carrying in wearable pockets ready for emergencies but without taking up much room at all due to the strong vacuum sealed packaging around it.
Would be great to build your own med kit using several of these sealed packets too as it would ensure all other unused dressings are not contaminated when rummaging through your med bag for what you need.
