What the HAZ-SUIT does
MIRA tests the HAZ-SUIT for up to eight hours of direct exposure to a long list of chemical agents and radioactive particles. It keeps radioactive dust off your skin and clothes. It doesn't stop penetrating gamma or neutron radiation: no suit of this kind does. There, what protects you is time, distance and shielding, plus a mask so you don't breathe dust in.
Sizes
Youth sizes (YS and YL) and adult sizes from XS to 2X/3X. The HAZ-SUIT page has MIRA's size guide by height. The suit material doesn't breathe, which is what keeps contaminants out, so it gets hot: MIRA advises keeping a close eye on children wearing one. Not sure which size? Ask us before you buy.
Storage
MIRA doesn't give the HAZ-SUIT a fixed shelf life, but it has tested 20-year-old HAZ-SUIT fabric and found it still met its specification. Keep it in its packaging, somewhere cool, dry and out of sunlight.
