Dahl is the meal a lot of people fall back on when they want something warm, filling and gentle on the stomach, and that matters more than it sounds when you are cold, tired or looking after someone who is unwell. Ours is lentils and rice in a coconut milk and korma sauce, with spinach and tomato through it. It is mildly spiced rather than hot, so it suits children and anyone who does not want heat when they are already uncomfortable.

This is also one of the few tins in the range that is fully vegan, so it earns its place in a mixed store cupboard. If anyone in the household does not eat meat or dairy, a long term food supply made up entirely of chicken and beef dishes leaves them with very little to actually eat.

Each of our meals are cooked first, then freeze-dried. This means they are light-weight and easy to store. Our tins in particular are a fantastic way to pack a lot of food into a relatively small area. With a shelf life of 25 years, this means you can always be sure to have a supply of delicious, nutritious meals.

Preparation is simple, which is ideal in an emergency. Take 100g of the dry mix from the tin and bring 140ml of water to the boil. Stir the water through the mix until it is thoroughly combined, cover it, and leave it to stand for 8 to 9 minutes. Stir again, season to taste and serve. One tin gives you seven servings, so it will feed a group in one sitting or one person across a week.

Returns Policy

If you are not completely satisfied with your items then you can return them to Sgt Prepper Shop within 30 days of delivery. Damaged items or faults need to be reported within 48hrs of delivery.

Orders over £80 qualify for free standard delivery. For orders under £80, a flat £4.95 shipping fee applies.
