Condor El Salvador Machete, Polypropylene Handle

The same 18 inch Condor El Salvador blade as our Micarta version, with a black polypropylene handle instead of Micarta. Same price, different feel in the hand: pick this one if you would rather have a grippy moulded handle that shrugs off rain and mud than the look of Micarta slabs.

What's different from the Micarta version

• The handle. This one is high-impact black polypropylene, moulded over the tang, with a single lanyard eyelet. Our Micarta El Salvador has grey-green canvas Micarta slabs riveted to an exposed full tang. Micarta is the better-looking tool with a slimmer grip; polypropylene is fuller in the hand and grippier when wet.
• Nothing else. Same 1075 high carbon steel, same 18 inch blade with the black epoxy powder coat, same leather sheath, made in the same Condor factory in El Salvador.

What it's for

A long Latin-pattern machete for clearing brush, bramble and sapling growth, processing firewood kindling and general camp work. The 18 inch blade gives reach and momentum that a 12 inch tool cannot; it is not the thing for fine carving. 1075 carbon steel takes an edge easily with a file in the field and will rust if put away wet, so dry it and wipe it with oil.

You must be 18 or over to buy a machete. The courier will ask for ID on delivery; this is the law under the Offensive Weapons Act 2019.

Returns Policy

If you are not completely satisfied with your items then you can return them to Sgt Prepper Shop within 30 days of delivery. Damaged items or faults need to be reported within 48hrs of delivery.

We ship to virtually any address in the UK, with all orders currently sent via Royal Mail.

Orders over £80 qualify for free standard delivery. For orders under £80, a flat £4.95 shipping fee applies.

We aim to deliver your item within 2–4 working days, and once your order is placed, we’ll provide an estimated delivery date based on stock availability and your selected shipping option.

IMPORTANT
