Fallkniven CC4 Ceramic Whetstone

A pocket ceramic whetstone with two faces: one to refine an edge and one to finish it. Used dry, with no oil or water.

SUMMARY

The Fallkniven CC4 is a double-sided ceramic stone about 100mm long. One face is a dark grey ceramic made from synthetic sapphire, the other a white, super-fine ceramic (Fallkniven's description). Both are used dry. It is the stone for taking off the burr and polishing an edge, and it sits well alongside the diamond side of the DC3 or DC4.

DETAILS

• Two ceramic faces: the dark grey side is synthetic sapphire ceramic, the white side is super-fine ceramic. Work the grey side first to take off the burr, then the white side to polish.

• No oil or water: use both faces dry. Clean it now and then with water and a little liquid soap.

• Pocket size: about 100mm x 32mm and around 50g, so it fits a pouch, a pack or a kitchen drawer.

• Leather pouch: supplied with the stone to protect it on the go.

• Pairs with the DC3 and DC4: if an edge is properly dull or chipped, start on the diamond side of a DC3 or DC4, then finish on the CC4.

Why Choose the CC4?

A diamond stone puts the edge back; a fine ceramic is what gives it a clean finish. If you already carry a coarser stone, the CC4 is the small, cheap second step that makes a knife shave and slice better for longer between sharpenings.

Orders over £80 qualify for free standard delivery. For orders under £80, a flat £4.95 shipping fee applies.
